Prism

Hello Big Woods! The word of the week is prism.
A prism is a three dimensional figure. It has corners and flat sides. Prisms are named after the shape of their base. There are all kinds of prisms: triangular, hexagonal, pentagonal, and square prisms. Remember, a cylinder is not a prism because it has curved sides. Some of our favorite prisms are edible. A Toblerone candy bar is an example of an edible prism. Remember to look around your house & school to see if you can spot any prisms. We think the word prism is verrrry interesting!
